“I just started beating on steel.”
— Peyton Ramm —
The story begins.
He just started beating on steel. From rural Valentine, Nebraska, Peyton Ramm - a cattle rancher - began his bladesmithing career after apprenticing with a fellow bladesmith after college.
The first blades he made were castration knives, but since then he’s come a long way. Ramm has been perfecting his own unique style of heirloom knives. Fascinated with the idea of blending steel, wood and other natural materials into beautiful blades, Peyton’s knives reflect his passion for hunting, the western lifestyle and the beautiful Nebraska Sandhills.
At Ramm Bladesmithing, each blade is meticulously crafted by Peyton Ramm with a focus on creating functional art pieces. Peyton pays close attention to every detail to achieve a detailed fit and finish. All engravings are created by Peyton himself to add character and uniqueness. The result is a knife with a remarkably smooth surface that showcases Peyton's dedication to his craft.
